You might not be using enough tin cans. If you don't have enough tin cans the machine won't accept them.

You will want to use the machine named "Solid Canning Machine" or "Fluid/Solid Canning Machine". Both machines work, look at my screenshots to make sure you are doing it right.

If you use the Fluid/Solid Canning Machine, make sure the button on the bottom has the same picture as my screenshot with the filled tin cans and uranium.
