Summary0002242: Distilled water slowly diappears from Boiler-Turbine-Condenser system
DescriptionSteam boiler will eventually explode when used, because less distilled water returns from condenser and 2 turbines than boiled and eventually no water remains.
Steps To Reproduce1) Put a steam boiler, heat it up with 200 HU/t. Set 221 bar and 1 mB output, so that it makes superheated steam.
2) Input 1000 mB distilled water into the boiler.
3) Put 2 steam turbines and a condenser on top of the boiler, insert steam turbines and fluid ejector upgrades (facing bottom).
4) You got a stable system, turbines work, water travels down to the boiler.
5) Wait some 5-10 minutes to see less water in the boiler, wait about an hour and no water remains, the boiler explodes.

This always used to be a concern, but it sounds like it might be draining out much faster than it used to. I'll take a look to see if the changes in 69 have broken something.

Just can't stop thinking. Was it ment to slowly drain?
And if so, is there a way to maintain water in the system without regular attention?

Or was it ment to be stable thing without headache?

It should be stable, there's no real reason for water loss, especially with the additional complication it adds having to try and boost the water levels periodically. It's most likely a rounding error causing some water to be lost as it's moved about.

I checked some stuff, and thats what I found out (you might knew all this, but still).

1) Steam boiler does it's job just fine. 1000 mb of water became accurately 100000 mb of steam stored in tanks, no problem.

2) When I tried to input some big amount of steam into a condenser, it turned out that if you input more steam to a condenser, than it can handle, steam just disappears. (I placed fluid regulator next to a condenser and inserted 2200 cells of steam with 1000mb/tick speed, tank next to the condenser contained only 14 600 mb of expected 22 000 mb of water). But it does not affect real steam boilers obviously.

3) The whole problem seems to be with the condenser. I inserted carefully (400 mb/tick) 2200 cells of steam into the condenser (with 4 vents, if it matters). It was 21 900 mb of water in the tank. The progress bar in the condenser was about 88%.

It seems to me, that the problem is with the process behind that progress bar. The way it works.
It accepts steam into account faster, than it should be. Thats where the rounding problem is.

I suggest reworking condenser to be more like fluid/solid canning machine:
it waits until 1000 mb of steam appears in its tank, THEN the progress bar starts with some speed depending on heat vents quantity (0 - 4).
When the progress bar finishes, 1000mb of steam disappears, 100mb of water appears. No rounding problem.

I made a little mistake in the previous comment.
10 000mb of steam should be converter into 100mb of water.
