| Summary | 0001094: Archimedes ships mod compatibility | ||||
| Description | After moving an Archimedes ships mod ship IC2 experimental machines may face the wrong direction. According to the ASM developer, IC2 needs to include an "mrot" file to fix this. http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/mapping-and-modding/minecraft-mods/1289952-archimedes-ships-v1-7-banking-ships?page=156#c3148 http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/mapping-and-modding/minecraft-mods/1289952-archimedes-ships-v1-7-banking-ships | ||||

not a IC2 Bug... |
|
|
I know i'm probably get ignored, this comment deleted and i'm back where i started - with a broken and useless IC2 installation. If anyone even bothers to read this at all before deleting it... Every time i come across a compatibility issue between two mods, every developer involved automatically says "it's not a problem in *my* mod". How about you people stop for a second making the bug reporter run around in circles and talk directly to the other mods developers and find a solution? Is that too much to ask? The technical side of this is, in order to properly rotate the blocks after moving them, ASM needs to know some internals (which are in this case described the mrot-file). Since the developers of a mod know best on how their rotation offsets work in their own mod, it is only logical for the IC2 team to provide that information, isn't it? |

ASM developer must only use the public IC2 API all IC2 machines with face have implements IC2.API IWrenchable before move IC2 machines use IWrenchable.getFacing() @return short facing after move use IWrenchable.setFacing(short facing) to turn in right direction I will not add any file for compatibility for this we have the public api the developer can write me a message if it missing a function |
