....Yes.

Not always reproducible, freshly generated server worlds do not seem to suffer from this bug. But once it starts happening, it seems to be consistent, making acquiring tin and copper through UU-matter virtually impossible.

Seems to also affect any autocrafting attempts, just opening an autocrafting table with either of the recipes in it results in a crash.

I'm still trying to pinpoint what exactly triggers this behavior to begin in the first place, so far haven't had any luck with that, sadly.

What's odd is that the Gold and Iron recipes work fine, but they give the actual ore - not the dust.

both the copper and tin used to be ores, but then switched to dust at some point.

The copper and tin UU recipes will give you dust if IC2's ore generation for them is turned off. This probably needs some looking into, but I suspect a workaround would be to turn the ore generation back on.

Ore Generation for IC2 is enabled, other mod's copper and tin were disabled by the config of FTB standard before world gen, then when the UU-matter bugged, were re-enabled for new chunks and Mystcraft ages.

Well, then, that might be the issue -- are your client and server configs out of sync? If your client thinks IC2 ore gen is off, it doesn't register the copper and tin ore blocks at all, so if the server then tries to give you those blocks, you'll then have a block that your client does not know about, and it will complain by crashing.

Confirmed that the worldgen for Copper and tin were false in the client-side configs. However, copper from IC2 was still able to be acquired from NEI, the world, and creative modes. Curious indeed.

Edit:

Upon changing the configuration in the client side, the recipe for UU-Matter was, in fact, ore blocks. But on taking them from the crafting table, immediately flipped from 5 Ore to 10 Dust in my hand. Both for Copper and Tin. No crash. Seems to be working more or less as intended now.

A-ha, yeah, that seems to indeed be the culprit, looks like the server i am playing on had turned on copper and tin generation for IC2 at some point, without me being aware of it, while the FtB client default settings have the option turned off in the config.

This still seems like a rather nasty bug/oversight, though, considering it will make the player profile unplayable outright when it happens, rather than "just" crashing with at least remotely informative error message.
