Summary0001441: Condenser not accepting steam from anything other than IC2 Steam Generator
DescriptionWhile attempting to produce distilled water, I have discovered that the condenser will only accept steam from a steam generator. The condenser does not seem to be accepting steam input from any type of pipe, even though the distilled water can be piped out of it.
Steps To ReproducePlace and power a condenser. Attempt to supply steam to the condenser via EnderIO conduits. Condenser fails to accept steam to convert to distilled water. Have also tried to use BC Fluid pipes to pipe steam into condenser, with no success.
Additional InformationIt is recommended that the condenser be set to allow the input of steam via conduits and pipes, so as to allow players the ability to create distilled water from any source of steam, not just through the process of using a steam generator that is physically touching the condenser.

As an additional note, in build industrialcraft-2-2.2.650-experimental, the electric heat generator is failing to produce heat (display reads 0hU/100hU) when supplied with both LV and HV power and 10 coils installed. Because of this, it cannot be used to produce heat for the Steam Generator.

I have also just finished testing the use of the Fluid Heat Generator, and I am unable to find any fluid that it will accept in the gui for producing heat for the Steam Generator. It also is not accepting fluid input via pipes as well.

With the fact that none of the three methods of producing heat work, which results in an inability to produce the require steam, and by result renders the condenser useless, I request that this be changed from a minor bug to major bug as it shows that 3 different machines are failing to operate as intended.

I have found all the bugs you listed to work. A screenshot of your set-ups might help, since it just sounds like you're doing something wrong.

I found the issue, it seems that the device has 1 heat output, and unless that is touching the device that needs the heat, it fails to produce heat. Is there a way we can get the details for how the machines need to be connected updated in the wiki, either by the official IC2 team, or by normal users such as myself? The way I was able to find out the machines were not connected right was through testing with other members of my server and one happened to have the thought, did you try wrenching it like you have to do with the transformers and storage boxes?

The lack of information on the net/wiki makes using the new machines rather difficult.

Now that my issue of not knowing how to properly use the heaters is resolved, back to the OP about how the condenser will not accept steam fro anything other than directly from the steam generator (physically touching it, no piping).

Also, Chocohead, those were sub-issues that I had as a result of not knowing how to properly use the heaters. The actual reason for posting this bug report, is stated at the very top in the original posting. As such, I do not consider this to be ready to be closed as THAT issue has not been addressed.

But condensers do accept steam from other things, or at least do for me.

If you would, what method of input are you using? I am attempting to use steam supplied from a Big Reactor, being piped in using the EnderIO Pressurized conduit, and even with 4 vents installed, it was not accepting the steam in the gui.

Wrong type of steam (I think). Pretty sure it will only accept IC2 steam.
