| Summary | 0000193: Can't craft dense copper plate in the compressor. | ||||
| Description | I have check and re-checked that I have the recipe correct. If I place 8 copper ingots in the compressor, plenty of power but nothing happens. I have tried all forms of copper with no luck. I also tried powered with a battery or with MFE and LVT. I need these DCPs to go any further with my reactor plan. It must be something simple that I am overlooking. At least I hope so it is an easy fix...Help please... | ||||

Do you run NEI, and if so, can you view the recipe for Dense Copper Plates? Can you perform other kinds of Compression recipes within <that> Compressor? |

I don't have NEI active. I just enabled NEI and no, I cannot see the recipe for dense copper plate. Other compression recipes work. As far as I can tell this is the only one that does not. Any clues? If I need to re-download and install IC2 mod, will I lose all the progress? |

Hm, odd. I've not noticed this in any version of IC2 - the fact that ONE recipe is missing yet the rest are fine. Random question, SSP or SMP? If you were to download and re-install IC2, there SHOULDN'T be any issues with your world progress. However, I recommend backing up your save file, just in case. |

I know this seems really odd. That is why I feel like I am overlooking something. And I am playing using Technic Pack SSP launcher, 1.0.3.4 Then I choose the Technic and go from there. 51 Mods running so there is a great potential for conflict but this is the first. The launcher searches for updates each time so I believe I am current. I will try the re-install if I can't figure it out. And yes BuildCraft is loaded with Core, Builders, Energy, Factory, Transport, Silicon and Additional Pipes. Let me know if you need any other info. And thanks for taking the time to help... |

So I may have figured the challenge with this. It may be obvious but too many MODS have more potential for conflict. Therefore, I believe that the 51 MODS loaded by Technic all work together because they are tweaked by removing components or using older versions. I tried to update the IC2 manually, crashed minecraft completely. Anyway, thanks for the effort thus far. let me know if you come up with other things I can try. |

Maybe you can try ditch the Technic pack, because the v1.97 IC2 doesn't contain the new parts for the NEW nuclear reactor introduced in v1.106, therefore the dense copper plate recipe isn't in the old version that Technic has. edit: typo and clarification |
