| Description | When harvesting crops, the crop harvester will ignore whether it has cropnalyzer , such as a crop harvester with a cropnalyzer in it harvesting redwheat will output both wheat and redstone, a crop harvester with no cropnalyzer in it harvesting stickreed will output only sticky resin. | ||||

The crop harvester is working as intended: Without a cropnalyser, it will harvest any crops it scans when they are at their maximum growth stage, whether this is the optimal one or not With a cropnalyser, it will harvest any crops it scans when they are at their optimal growth stage, which might also happen to be the maximum one Thus what you're seeing is this applied in practice. It can be demonstrated well with potatoes, with a cropnalyser you will never get poisonous potatoes. If you don't have one, there is a 1 in 20 chance each harvest you will get one. This is because the optimal time to harvest potatoes is the second to last growth stage |
