Summary0002512: Thorium fuel rods and Isotope decayer
DescriptionIt's a suggestion, why don´t add thorium fuel rods (Thorium will be created in a new machine called Isotope decayer putting uranium) this rods doesn't generate heat and when it's depleted creates lead and a tini pile of uranium 238.
Additional Informationputting uranium 235 in the Isotope decayer will create Uranium 238. Putting uranium 238 will create thorium 230 (the normal thorium). and putting thorium 230 will create lead.

Second, the processes that you mentioned makes almost no sense in real life at all. U-235 turns into U-238 in a fission device? I doubt even if it can change in this way. Also, U-238 has a half life of more than 4 trillion years. It's another tens of thousands of years before the decay products of U-238 turns into Th-230. Comparatively it is more reasonable for Th-230 to turn into lead, but it still takes thousands of years for just half of the Th-230 to decay.

Also, why do you want Th-230? Breeders use Th-232 and yield U-233, and that is a different story.
