| Description | IC teleporters can teleport just about everywhere, except to other dimensions. It would be really useful to have that feature. | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | 0. obtain 2 teleporters, an mfs, a freqtrans and a way to generate power 1. place teleporter #1 in overworld 2. rightclick teleporter #1 with freqtrans 3. place mfs next to teleporter 4. connect mfs to power source 5. go to nether 6. place teleporter #2 7. rightclick teleporter #2 with freqtrans result: "freqtrans linked" appears in chat instead of "teleporter linked" 8. go back to overworld 9. obtain pressure plate 10. place pressure plate on teleporter #1 11. walk onto it result: nothing happens, where a teleport to the nether should occur. | ||||
| Additional Information | I talked to Player on IRC about it and he said it was mainly a balance issue. I came up with the following formula that should avoid balance issues: (source.pos - source.world.spawn - (target.pos - target.world.spawn)).length() * cost_per_block + interdimensional_travel_cost | ||||

Invalid, teleporters aren't cross-dimensional. |

That's kind of the problem, yes. If you don't want to allow people to cut their teleportation costs by default (or whatever the issue is), how about a config option? |
