| Description | Found a really nasty bug with IC. At first I thought it was a issue with the new forge or texture rendering and such and could still be. I generated a world and explored a bit that had NO mod generation.. Only Industrial craft though I did forgot I had NEI when I profiled it but I tested after without and same results. My fps would cut in half from 230 to about 100-115. The game would also feel shutterish when moving the mouse around. | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | Generated fresh world with no mods. I would stand still in one spot and focus on the same spot and set the time to noon and then waited till the chunks stopped loading and went to 0 in F3. I would then start profiling looking at the same spot till about sunset. Then I would do it all over again same world clearly and install IC. So at this point IC has no generation as its the same world and I don't move from that spot. Once again I run the tests just like above waited till 0 chunk loading then once again profiled till sunset. | ||||

Hopefully this is seen. It seems that Industrial Craft is the only mod out of a good dozen I tested. The issue actually seems to be sphax 64bit well as far as I know any texture pack that upscales. So use this as an example: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/84010144/sphax%201.5.1.zip Switch textures even in the game and you will see going back and forth will drop your FPS by half. Now remove IC and use the texture pack and you will have good FPS. So it seems to be some kind of scaling of the main texture pack has some kind of major impact on IC performance. Not sure why but hopefully this will help you. |

Just woke up to a fresh start. I wanted to see if higher up scaling texture packs would cause even more harm. I was correct. 256x caused my FPS to go down to 2-3. This is me having 200+ with 16x textures INCLUDING Sphax 16x textures. It seems that it's the higher res textures are killing IC and IC only at this time. Thanks :) |

GUYS, START WORKING ON THE TEXTURES AGAIN :( I fully support this issue, since I play with Sphax 128x, along with all the mod patches. |

It's not an IC2 specific issue, Mojang is working on it. |
