Define "mode". Check your cfg, did you enable Railcraft reactor compatibility or something like that? |

The settings is called: # Enable steam-outputting reactors if Railcraft is installed B:enableSteamReactor=false This is in IC2.cfg. This is not a bug. Setting this to false will cause the IC2 nuclear reactor to accept wire connection. Setting it to true cause the reactor to output "steam" instead. |
