I don't know for certain, but this might fall under the warning "experimental builds may be world-breaking" category. Try deleting the canner using a world editor and reloading the world, then placing a new canner.

There are no canners in the world, this crash occurs on loading of the game itself not a world.

You have a lot of mods, also suspicious java 1.8.0... try using only BC, NEI, and IC2

 I didn't notice the Java version at first... everyone else is running 1.7 (SE 7). According to Wikipedia, 1.8 (SE 8) comes out in March 2014, so this guy must have a time machine ;-)

Might have found your issue: You have Traincraft 4.1.0, which is out of date. They didn't update to the experimental IC2 API until 4.1.1. Versions before that have been known to have some weird interactions/crashes.

Also you are running a daily build of Galacticraft (704) when the latest release is 699, but I dunno how much they deal with IC2.

EDIT: Thunderdark, how much Gregtech stuff do you guys support/run with? Just wondering if that's ever an issue for folks.

Another mod ships the IC2 API without a proper after:IC2 soft dependency, ask the author to add that.
