Same issue here on build 306. My cable blocks come disconnected from each other as well as from the machines. In order to fix the problem, I have to re-lay the cables and re-place the machines as well.

I have the same issue, tested on build 336.

First 2 screenshots are before I removed the copper cable:

These images are after I redid the cable:

Pastebin of mod list (on server, clients have some extra files that shouldn't matter):

Server is running mcpc-plus, but another one of our testers first reported this issue before that was added and was running bare forge.

I have been unable to reproduce the issue in SSP so far or in any isolation testing (i.e. running ic2 only in SSP).

Server is Windows 2008 R2 x64 Enterprise.

The cable will disconnect if you have a chunk loader!! < This is the problem.

You are an amazing person and I love you. Confirmed that this fixes the issue.

If you need to get all the cables to reconnect, use worldedit to replace all the cables in a chunk with some other block, and then replace that other block with cables again. (Filter by data value to preserve different cable types.) This will make the cables connect to each other again, but not the machines. However, a server restart will connect those as well.

Is there one solution. Cover the cables (cobblestone, stone, .....) :D

It is not 100%. But in most cases, the cables themselves connect.

There are chunk loaders everywhere on a typical server.

Not having them is a workaround, not a fix.

I basically gave up on using IC2 cables and just used Mekanism Universal Cable instead.

Don't get me wrong, I agree with trab entirely. If IC2 were open-source I'd be submitting a patch asap. (I can haz source code?)

I have been having this problem. It only affects machines not native to ic2 on our server and we do not have chunkloaders. build 380
