| Summary | 0000910: IC2 crashes with the latest build with other mods installed. | ||||
| Description | I installed the lastest experimental build (0000380, and 0000377), and it crashes with other mods (listed in the crash log). This does not happen with an earlier build (0000345) | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | 1. Install the latest build (0000380) with the mods listed in the crash report here - http://pastebin.com/EU5rUZa5 (built against the latest version of Forge, 965 I believe) 2. Run Minecraft. The game will crash. | ||||

Update UE |
|
|
Same problem here I have removed ALL Ue mods and still get the same crash. And I tried updating UE core still get the same crash. Only on my server loads and runs fine in single player. |

Figured it out! I had to update all of my Calclavia mods (Calclavia Core, MFFS) to the latest version, which was built against one of the latest versions of Forge (964/965). My mod list was based on the 953, which I was updating from. I noticed the MFFS mod had a different filename in my Forge Mods folder, which probably led to the confusion. (I usually change the mod name from things like util^somemod to a more meaningful name). It was kind of a relief that item 11401 was the only thing missing. (*said semi-sarcastically* I've seen MUCH worse after an update). Can't wait for 1.7.x's "MOD:ITEM" system. At least I'm not seeing Thermal Expansion machines in cave walls (Direwolf20 video reference) |

but what about us getting this crash with no UE mods installed? And what's odd it works fine in single player but if I put it into a server it crashes the server. |

Did you try the "divide and conquer" method of running only IC2, then adding in a group of mods at a time? i.e. - - Only include IC2, and no other mods other than forge. Run and confirm that works. - Toss in a few core mods at a time (Buildcraft, Mystcraft, Railcraft, etc., with no addons) and verify it works. And so on. When one set of mods fail (say, 10 of them), isolate those ten and sort from there by removing half, and seeing if it still fails. Keep dividing until you find the one that fails. Also make sure you have enough memory, too. I've run into problems before where it crashes after adding more than 50-some mods if my memory allocation was low. |

I removed all IC2 mods and tried it with only IC2-exp works fine in single player and crashes in a server. For now just been sticking with the 371 build, I'm running 141 mods so when I have some free time I will make a clone server and try it a few mods at a time. Just seems odd that I'm getting an error for the recycler now when in build 371 or lower it runs fine with the same mod mix. |

I downloaded my mods and config folders from my hosted server running a multicraft control panel. Once on my desktop I set up a new fresh forge server and changed out IC2-371 for build 381. IT works and runs fine! So I removed all server and forge files on my hosted server re-installed forge to it and updated to 381 CRASH!!! with reycler white list. Meanwhile I can still launch and run build 381 on my desktop server only diffrence I can see is MULTICRAFT. Yea there is a chance they have something funky in the start up string launching Multicraft, but that is the only difference Multicraft vs launching it clean on my desktop! I'm gonna keep fighting this! with build 0000383 Description: Exception in server tick loop cpw.mods.fml.common.LoaderException: java.lang.NoSuchFieldError: recyclerWhitelist at cpw.mods.fml.common.LoadController.transition(LoadController.java:156) at cpw.mods.fml.common.Loader.loadMods(Loader.java:523) at cpw.mods.fml.server.FMLServerHandler.beginServerLoading(FMLServerHandler.java:99) at cpw.mods.fml.common.FMLCommonHandler.onServerStart(FMLCommonHandler.java:350) at net.minecraft.server.dedicated.DedicatedServer.func_71197_b(DedicatedServer.java:69) at net.minecraft.server.MinecraftServer.run(MinecraftServer.java:445) at net.minecraft.server.ThreadMinecraftServer.run(SourceFile:583) Caused by: java.lang.NoSuchFieldError: recyclerWhitelist at ic2.core.block.machine.tileentity.TileEntityRecycler.init(TileEntityRecycler.java:48) |
