Summary0000972: Cannot craft treetaps
DescriptionI cannot craft a treetap for some reason. However, I can give myself one.

 Are you using the newest version?
Because Player made some changes to the crafting recipe system and the recipes are now configurable, perhaps generating a new config solves the problem?

i think Player fixed some stuff in the newest builds
but i guess there are new config files

shapeless_recipes.ini
shaped_recipes.ini

which you should have in your IC2 config directory

propably updating to 422 should fix the problem and generate the configs, if not, try adding them by your own and use the above link as a template and see of that works

I might have done something wrong, but the above didn't work. Could you maybe look in your mod directories to find out where the configs go! Thanks in advance

Yes, I also tried different forge versions and also tried deleting the old config and reinstalling the mod

i had no problem crafting treetraps in 422, i deleted all configs, even though they didn't change, then deleted all old IC2 files and downloaded the new 422 release. Forge version is 1034

i crafted treetap ans generator, both worked
it was a newly created world

so i wasn't able to reproduce your problem in 422

Issue 973 seems to be related to this one. (can't figure out how to "suggest a relationship between two issues")

I am using build 423 and was able to create stakes and a tree tap, but not an iron furnace.

Also, when I look in the IC2 directory all I see is the file
ejml-0.23.jar

If I'm using the wrong IC2 file I apologize. I'm using
industrialcraft-2_2.1.423-experimental.jar

i looked a the other issue and 2 of the reporters recipes were wrong

try using iron plates for iron furnace and machine casing

I can't reproduce this, maybe you are using the old recipe, the new one uses iron plates where the iron ingots used to be.

I've fixed some of the recipes of the Wiki, unfortunately the pictures need twice the size to look good. PM me on the forums or IRC if you need additional editing permissions.
