|Summary||0002224: Step-down HV-Transformer will output 2048EU/t over gold cable|
|Description||If a HV-Transformer in step-down mode is fed 2048 EU/t, it will deliver 2048 EU/t to machines connected to its output (via gold cable).|
Severity is minor in that a transformer upgrade (the "correct" solution) isn't very expensive anyway.
|Steps To Reproduce||MFSU (full) -> HV-cable -> HV-Transformer -> Gold-cable -> Mass Fabricator|
Test with EU-Reader shows 1.9KEU/t on the gold cable and the Mass Fabricator operates at much faster than 512 EU/t.

||I would've said that it's 4 packets of 512 EU/t each going through the gold cable, but I also wouldn't expect the EU-reader to round that down to 1.9k EU/t|
||It's pretty noisy - EU-Reader doesn't show solid 1.9k, but flickers around that number, so it's probably randomly 3 or 4 packets of 512 EU per tick.|
It's sending 4 packets with 512EU/t. To confirm this, you can use the EU reader on a cable. It will display a voltage of 3 (which is 512EU). The energy flickering is because the transformer only emits full packets and it cannot emit 4 full packets every tick because of energy loss.
Therefore this is not a bug. You're using the transformer to down the voltage and up the amperage.
